McFarland police are looking for information about a dog that bit a jogger Friday night, according to a release.

A man was jogging along Siggelkow Road west of the intersection with Black Walnut Drive around 5:45 p.m. when he came upon a man walking a dog, police said.

When the dog bit the jogger, the man walking the dog refused to give him any information, according to the release. The jogger sought medical attention for a minor bite wound.

McFarland police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the dog and its owner to determine if the dog has up-to-date vaccinations, officials said.

The man with the dog is described as white and in his 30s, 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. The man was wearing a dark-colored puffy jacket, knit hat and blue jeans. The dog has short, black and grey hair, short ears and weighs about 30-40 pounds.
