Police: Janesville man arrested for 7th-offense OWI

JANESVILLE, Wis. — A Janesville man was arrested on suspicion of seventh-offense operating while intoxicated Sunday morning, according to police.
Janesville police said officers were sent to North Oakhill Avenue and West Memorial Drive at 10:55 a.m. for a truck stopped in the roadway. A witness reported the truck’s driver appeared intoxicated.
Police said they located Robert A. Schumacher, 54, walking in the area and arrested him for OWI after an investigation.
Blood was drawn from Schumacher at the Rock County Jail, and test results are not yet available.
Schumacher also had an outstanding arrest warrant through the Department of Corrections and is being held at the Rock County Jail.
