Police investigating suspicious south side vehicle fire
MADISON, Wis. — Police and fire investigators are looking into the cause of a vehicle fire on Madison’s south side Thursday afternoon, according to a news release.
Officials said crews were called to the McDonald’s in the 2400 block of South Park Street, immediately adjacent to the police department’s south district station, around 1:50 p.m. on a report of a vehicle fire in the parking lot.
Firefighters arrived within minutes and extinguished the fire, which was limited to the one vehicle, the release said. No one was injured in the fire.
While an investigation is ongoing, preliminary evidence suggests the fire was set intentionally, the release said.
