Police investigate possible shots fired on southwest side
A firearm may have been discharged during a possible disturbance on Madison’s southwest side late Wednesday evening, according to Madison police.
The incident happened in the 2100 block of Leland Drive around 9:15 p.m.Wednesday.
According to police, officers were sent to the neighborhood for multiple reports of shots fired. Several people were detained while attempting to leave the area, but police said no casings were recovered, and no damage to property or injured people were found.
Police said the incident appears to be isolated and there’s no additional risk to the public.
