Police investigate disturbance after finding bullet hole in apartment ceiling

Madison police are investigating an incident downtown Wednesday night in which they found an injured person and a bullet hole in the ceiling of an apartment.

Police were sent to the 10 block of East Gorham Street just after 8:30 p.m. after a person was heard yelling, “He put a gun to my head,” according to a release.

Officers found a person with a blunt-force injury to his forehead, a bullet casing on the counter in an apartment and a bullet hole in the ceiling of the apartment.

Police said at least two people left the scene before officers arrived.
