Police investigate all possibilities around attempted child abduction
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are still investigating all possibilities around a suspicious person incident reported Tuesday night.
Originally, police were told a man tried to abduct a child playing in her yard on Mt. Vernon Court around 8 p.m.
During additional investigation, police learned the child had become entangled in some landscape material, which caused the child to become quite upset.
Officials said investigators are still exploring all possibilities, including that the person came to the child’s aid and his actions were misinterpreted.
Madison police are hoping to locate the person who was involved in the incident.
The man is described as black, over 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin but muscular build. He was wearing a green and white striped shirt and black pants.
