Police hope public can ID serial robbery suspect

Several law enforcement agencies in the Madison area are asking for the public’s help in identifying a serial armed robbery suspect, according to a release.

The Madison and Monona police departments and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office sent out a joint news release that said the man may be responsible for at least eight armed robberies over the last few months.

The man usually wears nylon stockings over his face, according to the release.

McDonald’s at 4687 Verona Rd., Sept. 21 at 9:52 p.m. Klinke Cleaners at 939 S. Park St., Sept. 22 at 4:43 p.m.
Arby’s at 601 S. Gammon Rd., Sept. 24 at 8:38 p.m.
Sally Beauty Supply at 678 S. Whitney Way, Oct. 4 at 6:48 p.m.
McDonald’s at 2051 Broadway, Oct. 29 at 8:44 p.m.
Papa John’s Pizza at 2604 E. Washington Ave., Oct. 29 at 9:10 p.m.
Taco Bell at 698 S. Whitney Way, Nov. 6 at 11:37 p.m.

Officials ask anyone with information on the identity of the robber to call 608-266-6014.
