Police: Holiday Inn Express shooting suspect apprehended
JANESVILLE, Wis. — Janesville and Beloit police coordinated efforts Sunday and arrested the Holiday Inn Express shooting suspect.
Janesville police gained information that Latoya Hill was staying at 1243 Hackett St. in Beloit.
Police surveillance units stopped a vehicle they saw leaving the Hackett Street address.
Hill was a passenger in the vehicle and was taken into custody. The vehicle was stopped at the Illinois state line.
She is facing attempted first-degree homicide and armed robbery charges, police said. She is being held at the Winnebago County Jail in Illinois, awaiting extradition to the Rock County Jail in Wisconsin.
Police were searching for Hill after she allegedly tried to shoot a man during an arranged meeting for prostitution. Officers say she forced the man to give her money and attempted to shoot him.
Police are still investigating.
