Police find suspect in pharmacy robbery

Robbery suspect found near site of robbery

A Janesville police officer found an armed robbery suspect near the Walgreens robbed the day before.

The officer said he spotted a man matching the robber’s description at a business near the Walgreens Pharmacy at 1717 Milton Ave. at 1 a.m. Thursday. The officer said Kyler K. Willing, 26, had painted his face camouflage and had a loaded shotgun tucked inside his pants.

Police said Willing confessed to the robbery and to stealing two sets of license plates from cars in Janesville.

On Tuesday morning, a robber entered the Walgreens and demanded prescription medication from the pharmacy, officials said. The robber displayed what appeared to be the butt end of a long gun that he had tucked in his pants.

The robber got away with an undetermined amount of medication and was last seen running in west of the Walgreens, according to the release.
