Police find shell casings, damaged condo morning after reports of shots fired
MADISON, Wis. — Shell casings and property damage were found Friday morning after police responded Thursday night to reports of shots fired on Madison’s west side, according to a release.
Officers were sent just before 10 p.m. to the 300 block of Junction Road for reports of gunshots being heard, police said.
Police were not able to find any evidence of shots fired Thursday night, but Friday morning several shell casings were found outside a multi-use building and two rounds were found to have hit an upper-floor condo, according to the release.
The unit is currently vacant, so no one was inside at the time of the gunfire, officials said.
The case is still under investigation.
