Police: Evansville man faces 3rd OWI charge with a passenger under 16
EVANSVILLE, Wis. — An Evansville man is facing charges for a third OWI offense while allegedly having a passenger under the age of 16, according to police.
Police received a complaint at 12:06 a.m. Saturday that reported a vehicle was allegedly being operated with a missing rear tire and going in and out of the ditch near the intersection of North Evansville Brooklyn and West Emery roads.
An Evansville deputy located and stopped the vehicle driven by 35-year-old Matthew C. Swanson, police said.
The deputy also found that there was a 5-year-old passenger in the car, police said.
The deputy performed sobriety tests and arrested Swanson who is facing felony charges for a third OWI offense while having a passenger under the age of 16.
