Police encounter 4-pound delivery of marijuana during home search

While executing a search warrant at a home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, police were confronted with a parcel they say was delivering four pounds of marijuana.

According to The Associated Press, police also discovered eight marijuana plants and about a half-pound of marijuana from the kitchen and washing machine. The package sent from Portland, Oregon, that was delivered while police were in the home, yielded a street value of more than $20,000.

Narel Remondadeon Rutherford, 50, was charged with manufacturing marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of violating the Controlled Substance Act.
