A drug deal ended in an armed robbery, according to a news release from the Madison Police Department.

Officials said the victim, a 19-year-old McFarland man, had arranged to sell drugs in the Comfort Inn and Suites parking lot on East Washington Avenue around 1 a.m. Wednesday. When he arrived in the parking lot, he got into a gray SUV that had three men inside.

Once the victim was in the car, all three men pointed guns at him. One of the men hit the victim in the face and went through his pockets.

Officials said the men got away with the victim’s phone, wallet and the drugs.
