Police: Driver had .14 BAC after rollover wreck
A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of his second drunken driving offense early Friday, police said.
The Madison Police Department said police responded to a report of a rollover crash on East Johnson Street near North Carroll Street at 1:21 a.m.
Joseph E. Frickelton, of Poynette, was driving eastbound on East Johnson when his vehicle struck a pole at the intersection with North Carroll, according to the police report. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its roof.
Frickelton was able to climb out of the vehicle and was not injured, police said.
Police said a preliminary breath test indicated Frickelton’s blood alcohol content was 0.14.
Frickelton was charged with second-offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
