Police: Driver found unresponsive behind the wheel
Man, 25, ticketed for OWI
MADISON, Wis. — A 25-year old Madison man was ticketed for driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a citizen found him unresponsive in the 4400 block of E. Broadway Saturday afternoon, according to Madison police reports.
Police said Anthony Paltz was behind the wheel at a traffic light. He told investigators that he’d taken sleeping pills. But police said needles and drug paraphernalia were found in his pants’ pocket.
Police said Paltz denied doing heroin, but police said he later admitted he’d done the drug a “few days ago”. Paltz said opiates would show up in his blood test, but maintained those were prescribed by a doctor.
