Police catch man who allegedly crashes into tree, flees
Suspect taken into custody after fleeing from scene, officials say
MADISON, Wis. — A man was taken into custody after fleeing the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Madison’s west side Sunday morning, officials said.
Madison Police Department authorities said police were sent to the intersection of Grand Canyon Drive and Mineral Point Road for reports of a vehicle that hit a tree around 10:40 a.m.
Shortly after police arrived on scene, a suspect was taken into custody near Gammon and Old Sauk roads, officials said.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
