Police: Autopsy for Middleton woman found dead in garage set for Saturday
MIDDLETON, Wis. — Middleton police are investigating a suspicious death at a home in the 7100 block of University Avenue after receiving a call about a elderly woman’s body being found in a garage.
Middleton police Captain Steve Britt said a family member found a woman in her 80s dead inside the garage of her home around 2:53 p.m. and called 911. The woman suffered a head wound which they describe as suspicious, police said.
The garage door was closed when the family member arrived at the home and police found no signs of forced entry, Britt said.
Police on scene told News 3 that the medical examiner is examining the body, and while they can’t confirm the woman’s death is a homicide, they are concerned about the incident.
Britt said an autopsy for the woman is scheduled for Saturday.
