Police arrest 18-year-old in connection with UW dorm sex assault
MADISON, Wis. — An 18-year-old was arrested Friday in connection with a sexual assault on campus last weekend.
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Police Department said Charles W. Wolf was taken into custody on suspicion of fourth-degree sexual assault and false imprisonment.
Police said a woman reported she was sexually assaulted during the early morning hours Saturday at a UW-Madison residence hall. Police said the woman and the attacker were acquaintances.
According to the report, Wolf sexually assaulted the woman and held her down against her will. He was taken to the Dane County Jail to await formal charges from the Dane County district attorney, police said.
According to online court records, Wolf was found not guilty on all three counts at trial on Nov. 9, 2016.
