Police: 27 cited at underage drinking party
Officers responded to report of loud party in Beloit on Halloween
BELOIT, Wis. — Police said officers issued more than two dozen citations after breaking up an underage drinking party in Beloit on Halloween.
The Beloit Police Department said in a release that officers responded to a report of a loud party at 11:15 p.m. Friday on the 800 block of Eighth Street.
Officers arrived at the residence to find an underage drinking party and initially spoke with 40 party-goers, according to the report. Several of the people at the party were not 21 years old.
Police issued 27 citations. Those who were cited were released to a responsible party if they were not 18 years old, police said.
