Platteville police investigate man’s death
Police say there's no immediate danger to public
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The Platteville Police Department is investigating the death of a 28-year-old man who was found early Wednesday morning.
Police received a 911 call just before 3 a.m. Wednesday about an unresponsive man lying in the yard of a home in the 500 block of West Cedar Street in the city of Platteville. The caller said the man might not be breathing.
Officers arrived at the scene and administered CPR. The man was transported to Southwest Health Center-Platteville, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said that due to the nature of the death, an investigation is being conducted and an autopsy is being performed.
The name of the man is being withheld pending notification of family members.
Police said the investigation indicates that his death appears to be an isolated incident and there is no immediate danger to the public.
