Phone, wallet stolen after man mugged on Madison’s southwest side

MADISON, Wis. — A Madison man said he was punched and kicked by two teenage boys during a robbery Friday night.

The 32-year-old told police he was mugged around 9:45 p.m. along the 4300 block of Britta Drive, according to a release by the Madison Police Department.

The man told police had seen the teens before and believes he was targeted. His cell phone and wallet were stolen. The man suffered scrapes and cuts, but was not seriously injured in the attack, the release said.

Following the assault, the man ran towards the West Beltline and flagged down a Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputy.
