MT. HOREB, Wis. — A person wearing a mask attempted to rob a restaurant in Mt. Horeb on Tuesday night, officials said.

The Mt. Horeb Police Department said officers responded at 6:20 p.m. to the McDonald’s on Perimeter Road for a report of an attempted robbery.

Employees told police that the would-be robber came in the store and demanded that they open the cash drawers.

Police said the employees didn’t do what he said, and that person left the store empty-handed.

A police K-9 team attempted to track the would-be robber, but it wasn’t successful, according to the report.

The person was described as a white male, between 5 feet 10, inches tall and 6 feet, 2 inches tall. He was wearing ski goggles, a red bandanna over his face and a black jacket, police said.
