Pedestrian walks away from potential fight after gun pulled

Madison Police Department

A pedestrian walked away from a potential fight with a driver after the driver pulled a handgun out of his car on Madison’s east side.

Madison police say the pedestrian was upset after a car stopped very close to a crosswalk for a red light at the intersection of East Washington Avenue and Wright Street at 2:23 a.m. Friday.

The pedestrian decided to brush up against the car, and the two began yelling at each other. Officials said the two seemed like they were ready to get into a fistfight until the driver pulled a handgun out of his car and held it in the air.

The pedestrian decided to finish crossing the street, leaving the situation. He then called Madison police.
