Victim hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries
MADISON, Wis. — A 21-year-old woman running from a disturbance in which she had been involved was injured Friday evening when she was hit by a car on the Beltline, Madison police said.
Police responded at 5:04 p.m. to a call of a crash near mile marker 260.6 between Todd Drive and Fish Hatchery Road.
Police said the woman had been running away from a disturbance near the parking lot of an adjacent Culver’s restaurant when she was struck by a vehicle that was eastbound on the Beltline, according to a news release. She was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, where police said she was alert and talking to officers.
Portions of the eastbound Beltline were closed for nearly two hours while police investigated the crash.
Police said the driver is cooperating with their investigation.
