Pedersen tries out for Packers
Former Badger gets another shot at NFL
GREEN BAY, Wis. — According to multiple reports, former Badgers tight end Jacob Pedersen tried out for the Packers Monday. The news came the same day the Packers announced they released tight end Ryan Taylor.
The Menominee, Mich. native was a standout at Wisconsin and, in 2013, was named All-Big Ten honorable during his final season with the Badgers. Pedersen caught 17 touchdown passes during his Wisconsin career.
That total is the most by a tight end in school history.
After leaving UW, Pedersen was signed by Atlanta as an undrafted free agent in the spring. He spent training camp with the Falcons before being cut before the season.
