PD: Threat from 18-year-old former Evansville student locks down school briefly
EVANSVILLE, Wis. — A teenager is facing multiple charges Thursday after she reportedly threatened a staff member at a school in Rock County.
Evansville police said officers responded at 8:51 a.m. to Evansville High School on South Fifth Street for a welfare check.
According to a news release, staff were detaining 18-year-old Katelyn N. Frame, who is a former student. The high school went on lockdown briefly.
Frame was at the high school to inflict harm on a member of the school staff, police said. She was taken into custody and was not in contact with any students.
Frame is facing preliminary charges of disorderly conduct while armed, second-degree recklessly endangering safety and possession of a dangerous weapon on school grounds.
Frame was taken to the Rock County Jail, and the investigation remains open, police said.
