Two teens were injured Monday night and their car windows were smashed out when they were attacked by several other teens on Madison’s east side, police said.

Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. to the 5200 block of Camden Road after a neighbor reported hearing shots fired, according to a release.

Officers determined no shots were fired, but they found two Madison teens who had been beaten up as part of an ongoing dispute, police said.

The victims were not seriously injured, but the car they were driving had its windows broken out by a baseball bat, according to the release.

Several of the attackers were reportedly armed with bats, and one victim told police he was hit with one of the bats, officials said. The other victim said he was hit with a pipe. Both victims said they were also punched and kicked.
