PD: Man charged with false imprisonment, battery in hotel disturbance
MADISON, Wis. — A Madison man is accused of false imprisonment and battery after a late evening incident inside an east Madison hotel room this week, police said.
Madison police said officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the Microtel Inn & Suites on East Springs Drive at about midnight Thursday. Staff told police they could hear a woman yelling in pain and something hitting the door of the hotel room.
Officers made contact with both occupants of the room, a 48-year-old woman and 36-year-old Ronald McCane. Police said both of them had non-life-threatening injuries.
McCane and the woman were taken to UW Hospital for treatment.
Police arrested McCane on suspicion of disorderly conduct, substantial battery and false imprisonment.
