Pauline Edler, age 95 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin and former owner of Edlers Rustic Pines Lodge passed away peacefully Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Wisconsin Dells.
Memorial funeral services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the United Presbyterian Church in Wisconsin Dells with Reverend Steven Keller officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Pauline was born March 1, 1919 on the family farm in Barron County, Wisconsin the daughter of Roy and Gladys (Rockey) Tielkemeier and grew up in the Twin Grove/Monroe, Wisconsin area. She was a registered nurse for many years. In May of 1963 she married George Edler and together they owned and operated Edlers Rustic Pines Resort (later called Cambrian Lodge) until 1974. He preceded her in death in February of 2007. Pauline will be remembered for her kind and caring nature and willingness to help others.
Pauline is survived by her dear friend, Vance VanDuch; and sons, Joseph (Myrna) Summerville of Skokie, Illinois, Paul (Patricia) Summerville of Garden Grove, California and Rett (Patricia) Summerville of Sumpter, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Edler; a daughter, Gail; one brother and 4 sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the church.
