Passenger injured, driver arrested in Dodge County crash
One person was injured in a single-vehicle crash when the driver did not stop at a stop sign, causing the vehicle to crash into a ditch early Saturday morning, Dodge County officials said.
Emergency crews responded to reports of a crash on Highway 60 at the intersection with Junction Road in the township of Clyman around 1:40 a.m., according to a release.
Casey Sell, 23, of Beaver Dam, was driving a north on Junction Road toward the intersection with Highway 60 when he did not stop for a stop sign and went through the intersection, investigators said.
Sell’s vehicle vaulted into the north ditch and stopped in the Wild Goose Trail parking lot, according to the release.
A passenger in the vehicle, 24-year-old Adam Bazaldua, of Beaver Dam, was injured in the crash and taken to Summit Hospital by Flight for Life helicopter, deputies said. Sell was not injured in the crash, but was later arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated.
The crash remains under investigation.
