Parking lot crash leads to OWI arrest
Police: Man still in truck when they arrived
MADISON, Wis. — A fender bender in a Walmart parking lot led to a fifth-offense drunken driving arrest, according to a release from Madison police.
A witness told police the driver of a pickup backed into a van parked in the lot by the Walmart on Nakoosa Trail on Tuesday night.
Police said the driver was still behind the wheel, attempting to roll a cigarette, when they arrived. His speech was slurred, he smelled of intoxicants and performed poorly in a field sobriety test, according to the release.
