Ouch! Badgers Fall Eight Spots After Loss

Oklahoma tumbled to No. 11 in The Associated Press Top 25 after its first loss.

Wisconsin also dropped eight spots after its first loss of the season, falling to No. 12.

Michigan State, which toppled the Badgers on the last play of their game Saturday, moved up to No. 9 in the rankings.

No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Alabama had no such issues, setting up the first 1-2 matchup between Southeastern Conference teams in the regular season. Oklahoma was preseason No. 1, but had been jumped by the Tigers and Crimson Tide weeks ago, even though the Sooners were winning.

Alabama and Florida played as Nos. 1 and 2 in the SEC title game in 2008, the first time the conference had a 1-2 game.

In the latest poll, Oklahoma State is No. 3, followed by fellow unbeatens Stanford, Boise State and Clemson.
