Oregon rolls into WIAA girls soccer championship game

Jen Brien scored two goals to lead Oregon to a 4-0 win over Whitefish Bay in the Division Two semifinals of the WIAA State Girls Soccer tournament in Milwaukee Friday afternoon.

Brien scored in the 31st minute to give the Panthers the lead, then teammate Kelsey Jahn added another goal in the 33rd minute to put Oregon in front 2-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Brien added her second goal of the game and 21st of the season, then Meagan Brakob closed out the scoring in the 82nd minute.

Oregon goalkeeper Grace James wasn’t forced to make any saves in the game as the Panthers defense shut down the Blue Dukes.

The Panthers (22-0-1) will play Green Bay Southwest (14-9-4) in the Division Two championship game Saturday at 3 pm at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee.
