The Sun Prairie Police Department said officers responded at about 3 a.m. to a report of a man who fired a gun during a dispute with a female. No one was struck by the bullet.
Police said the man left in the female’s vehicle without her permission.
Officers saw the suspect, 31-year-old Ronnie A.L. Ballard, and attempted a traffic stop. Police said a vehicle pursuit then ensued and Ballard eventually stopped the vehicle at the top of the west I-90 off-ramp to County Road V in the town of Vienna.
