One man injured in Chicago interstate shooting

CHICAGO, Il. — One man is injured following a shooting on the eastbound ramp of Interstate 290 early Saturday morning.

According to Illinois State Police, the victim vehicle was headed toward Wacker Dr. when it was struck by gunfire from an unknown vehicle.

The victim, a 26-year-old man from Indiana was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Five other passengers in the victim’s car were uninjured.

The exit ramp to Wacker Drive/Franklin Avenue was closed for about an hour for the
investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
