One man arrested after shots fired incident in Janesville

JANESVILLE, Wis. — One man is in custody after a shots fired incident early Saturday morning.

At about 4:5 a.m., Janesville police officers were called to the 2300 block of Center Avenue for a report of shots fired.

According to a report, officers found several shell casings on the porch of a nearby residence.

Witnesses said they had seen two men shooting a handgun from the porch into a nearby field.

Officers located one of the men, 22-year-old Gerson Antonio-Grenedo Rivera-Flores after a brief search and took him into custody. Rivera-Flores is being held on charges of Intoxicated Use of a Firearm and Disorderly Conduct.

At this time, no injuries or property damage have been reported.

The incident remains under investigation by the Janesville Police Detective Bureau.
