Ohio Native Borland Talks About Ohio State Matchup
One of the big names on defense for the University of Wisconsin Badgers football team will be returning to Ohio when the Badgers take on Ohio State on Saturday night.
Linebacker Chris Borland, of Kettering, Ohio, who didn’t play in last year’s game at Camp Randall because of an injury, will be ready to go this time around.
Borland said even though he grew up there, he was never really close to being a Buckeye.
“I didn’t really dream about playing college football until high school,” Borland said.
He said the his decision about playing college football was between Notre Dame and Wisconsin, but in the end, the choice was an easy one.
“I came to camp here, and Wisconsin offered and I committed right after,” Borland said. “Really, no one had a chance to recruit me. I have a lot of friends that go (to Ohio State) and my family and everybody from around there, so it’ll be a good experience.”
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday.
