Officials respond to ice rescue on Lake Wingra for second straight day
MADISON, Wis. — Officials responded to an ice rescue on Lake Wingra for the second straight day Saturday afternoon.
According to Dane County dispatch, officials responded to a call for a person in the water at the Lake Wingra Boat Landing shortly after 1:30 p.m.
Madison Fire confirmed a person fell in the water, but said they were helped out before first responders arrived.
Dane County authorities warned people Friday to stay off the ice after several people fell through Friday morning. Officials said one of those three incidents also took place at Lake Wingra.
