Officials: Owner of dog that bit child located
Incident happened outside near west side school, officials say
MADISON, Wis. — Public Health Madison & Dane County said it located the owner of an animal that reportedly bit a child last week.
The incident happened outside of Our Lady Queen of Peace at 401 S. Owen Dr. around 8 a.m. on Nov. 25, officials said.
The dog bit the boy when he put his hand down toward the dog, according to the release.
The dog is described looking like a small Golden Retriever with light tan fur, officials said. It has a red leash and a collar with bones on it. The dog was being walked by two women.
PHMDC had asked for help locating the animal Monday morning. Lead Worker for Animal Services Patrick Comfert told News 3 Tuesday that the owner of the dog had been located Monday.
