Public health officials look for small dogs that bit man

Department of Public Health officials are looking for information about a dog that bit a woman Sunday night, according to a release.

The woman was bitten when she approached the seemingly friendly dog on a sidewalk in the 500 block of East Dayton Street around 6 p.m., officials said. The dog bit her hand and ran off.

The dog is described as a brown and gold pit bull puppy, according to the release. The dog was wearing a brown leather collar.

Officials ask anyone with information on the dog or its owner to call 608-255-2345 and ask for the animal services officer.
