Public health officials look for dog without owner that bit man

Public Health officials are looking for information about a dog that bit a man in Aldo Leopold Park Tuesday afternoon.

The dog bit the man around 1 p.m. at the park on Traceway Drive, officials said. The man was reaching for a basketball that had fallen near the dog when the dog bit him.

The dog is described as a golden retriever, and it was loose in the park, officials said.

Officials ask anyone with information about the incident to call 608-255-2345 and ask for the animal services officer.
