Officials look for dog that bit child on north side

Public health officials are looking for a dog that bit a child on Madison’s north side Tuesday morning, according to a release.

The child was bitten as she walked passed a man walking his dog on a leash around 7:50 a.m. on Hoard Street near North Street, officials said.

The dog is described as being medium- to large-sized with black fur, according to the release. The owner is described as white, tall and in his 30s.

Officials ask anyone with information on the dog or owner to call 608-255-2345 and ask for the animal services officer.
