Official IDs man who died following Mt. Horeb crash

Officials identified the man who died after a Thursday morning crash in Mount Horeb as a 66-year-old from Mount Horeb.

Dane County Medical Examiner spokesman Barry Irmen said Saturday afternoon that Gregory L. Uren died from “an acute medical natural event and not related to injuries from the traffic crash.”

Mount Horeb police said a truck headed east on Main Street at about 7:20 a.m. Thursday was swerving, struck a car traveling west and then a 4-year-old boy who was waiting for a school bus on side of the road.

The boy’s grandmother told News 3 he suffered a broken leg but was otherwise expected to be fine.
