Officers investigate report of shots fired on Madison’s north side
MADISON, Wis. — UPDATE: 3:35 a.m. – Madison Police say shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, they responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the 1800 block of Vahlen Street on the city’s north side.
Police found a sedan that appeared to have been abandoned in the street and was connected to the shooting. A 21-year-old Madison man was detained and shortly released during the course of the investigation.
Police say no injuries have been reported and no damage was associated with the incident.
The incident is still under investigation.
Dane County deputies were investigating reports of shots fired on Madison’s north side, according to dispatchers.
Officers say the call came in at 10:09 p.m. Saturday for reports of shots fired on the 1800 block of Sheridan Street. No information on injuries was immediately available.
