WINDSOR/DEFOREST – Maxine M. Hameister, age 82, passed away and was united with her Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
Maxine was born on January 13, 1935 in Richland Center, WI to Ruel and Anita Mick. In 1954, Maxine was united in marriage to Donald Hameister and they raised five children. She worked for the State of Wisconsin for many years until she retired. Maxine loved to sew, bake, and entertain friends and family. She was an avid sports fan for the Brewers, Packers, and Badgers. Maxine had a generous heart and was very involved in supporting her church and her favorite charities.
Maxine is survived by her four children, Jeff (Cheryl), Anita (Steve) Reisinger, Tim (Kim), and Teresa (Gary) Kaye; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; brothers, Ruel “Bud” Mick, and Richard “Dick” Mick. She is also survived by many other loving family and friends. Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Steven; and brother, Kenneth Mick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at NOON on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at ST. OLAF CATHOLIC CHURCH, 623 Jefferson Street, DeForest, with Father Vincent Brewer presiding. A visitation will be held from 10am until time of the Mass on Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Second Harvest Food Bank.
