Mark R. Stafford

Windsor – Mark R. Stafford, age 47, passed away unexpectedly at home, on Sunday, December 31, 2017.

He was born January 28, 1970 in Madison, to Malcolm and Judy Stafford.  Mark graduated in 1988 from Sun Prairie High School.  He started at Oscar Meyer in 1992, where he was employed for 15 years in the mechanical department.  Mark met Barb in 1995, and they were married July 20th, 1996.

Mark’s number one love was his wife of 21 years, Barb.  He loved family, friends and his dogs, Coal and Baby Gene.  He was into fast cars, working out and watching his favorite wrestling shows, Raw and Smackdown along with cheering on any Wisconsin sport’s team.  He also enjoyed the camping trips over the past five years.  One could go on and on, but bottom line, Mark was most happy and most comfortable around family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Barb; his children, Alissa (RJ) Hanson, Andrea (Jacob), Aaron (Amanda) and Adam; his grandchildren, Nickolaus, Marcus, Reegan, Gracie, Easton, Avery and Adrian; his mother, Judy; his brothers, Malcolm Jr. of California, Jeffrey (Janet) of Beaver Dam, Wis. and William of Maryland; his sister, Kimberly (John) of Fitchburg, Wis; his dogs, Coal and Baby Gene; and many more special family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Malcolm Sr., and his older brother, Steven.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest.  A visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the funeral home.  Mark will be laid to rest at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be written to the family.  A special thank you to Shou and Larry Vang for their first response assistance.

Mark, you always said to me, I love you more than life itself.  Now it’s my turn to tell you, “I love you more than life itself.”  And you will be truly missed.
