MADISON – John E. Keller, age 60, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 25, 2017. John was born on December 19, 1957 in Madison, WI to William and Ramona (Craig) Keller.
He grew up on the North Side and graduated from East High School. John worked for many years at Webcrafters Inc. as a printer and went on to work at the DNR as a cartographer. He received a certificate in web design from MATC. In 1985 John had a tragic motorcycle accident that left him a quadriplegic but his zest for life and positive outlook allowed him to do the things he loved.
John loved hockey, fast motorcycles, muscle cars, karate, water skiing, boating, hunting, fishing, and especially his cockatiels. For the last 20 years, one of his greatest accomplishments was building a 1966 Chevy Nova with his friend, Joe. John touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
John is survived by his siblings, William, Tim (Lynn Ellestad), and Sharon (Tony) Green; caregivers, Amy and Isaac Hecimovich; and dear friends, Rhonda Massey and Pat Doolittle. He is further survived many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2PM on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 North Sherman Avenue, Madison. A visitation will be held from 11AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
