Jerome Vincent Lochner, age 91, of Prairie du Sac, passed away peacefully on Feb. 11, 2018.
Jerry was born in Roxbury, the son of the late August and Aurelia (Breunig) Lochner on Jan. 3, 1927.
Jerry went into the Ace Hardware Business in 1951. He was active in many civic organizations including the Sauk Prairie Hospital, Lake Wisconsin County Club, and Farmers and Citizens Bank. He was an entrepreneur ahead of his time. Jerry and Elaine made friends wherever they went.
Jerry is survived by his wife, of 68 years, Elaine (Henn) Lochner; his five children, Bob, Denny, Sandy, Fred, and Sharon Ann; daughters in-law, Sharon Louise and Luanne; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers, Vic, Earl (Chris); sisters, Margie (Bob) Nachreiner and Ann (Tom) Gaukel; sisters in-law, Amelda Lochner and Mary Jane Lochner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Aurelia (Breunig) Lochner; his in-laws, Bennie and Emma Henn; brothers, Alex and Kenny; sisters and brothers in-law, Arlene (Sylvester) Wipperfurth, Lois (Bob) Fuller, and Betty Lochner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Feb. 16, 2018 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 115 Madison St., Sauk City with Fr. Miguel Galvez officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Aloysius Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Feb. 15, 2018 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.
A celebration of Jerry’s life for friends and family will follow at the Dorf Haus at 7:00 pm.
