CROSS PLAINS, Wis. - Jeanette Hollfelder, age 89, joined her husband Melvin in eternal peace on May 20, 2017.Jeanette will be dearly missed by her daughters and son-in-laws, Nancy (Keith) Hetzel and Judy (Jim) Laubmeier; her grandchildren, Thomas (Thysen) Hetzel, Tony Laubmeier and Sharon, Pete (Rachel) Laubmeier, Ted (Theresa) Hetzel, and Theresa (Kevin) Ballweg; and her great-grandchildren, Emily Ballweg, Max Hetzel, Ruby Hetzel, Brooks Laubmeier and Lane Laubmeier. Jeanettte will be remembered for the special fun times she provided for her family; her devotion to Mel, her best friend and soul mate who together enjoyed 62 years of marriage; the countless meals she prepared, including her delicious holiday roast beef dinners with all the trimmings; her love of collecting antiques; skill with houseplants; and her special sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin, brothers Roman Theis and Virgil Theis; in-laws Lawrence Breunig, Lucille Theis, Gil and Tilda Hollfelder, Virgil and Mary Hollfelder, Ed and Vera Hollfelder and Joe Lowenberg. Survivors include her sister Lorraine Breunig, and sister-in-laws Gladys Theis and Berdella Lowenberg.A celebration of Jeanette's life will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00-10:30 a.m., followed by a 10:30 Christian Burial Mass officiated by Father Thomas Kelley, burial in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, and a luncheon in the Parish Hall.
