Janette Reeson

Jannette passed away at home on April 1, 2018 ( Easter Sunday) with all her children present, after a brief struggle with pancreatic cancer.

Jannette was born on April 9, 1932, the oldest child of Theodore and Roma (Rockcastle) Sawle,Sr. She grew up at Hyde's Mill, graduated from Barneveld High School, and was married in 1950 to David E Reeson,Sr.

Jannette raised six children; worked in the barn (carried tons of milk); in the fields (not so good on the tractor); and in the house (the homemade bread, pies, and cakes were always disappearing!) In the late 50s, she started cleaning houses in Madison for pin money. Later, she drove school bus for the Barneveld School District for 30+ years until her 80th birthday. She was also employed at Lands' End, sold real estate, and ran and baked for the food stand at Hawley's Auction Service. She was an early EMT member of the Barneveld Rescue Squad for 20+ years. Her last job, for the last 5 years, was driving for RSVP and her last day of work was on February 27, 2018. Her hobbies were antiquing, scrapbooking, jigsaw puzzles, flowers, potted gardening, and taking care of Aunt Winnie's 100+-year-old geranium plants. She also had an extensive collection of school bus memorabilia.

Jannette is survived by her children; Dr. David (Marlys) Reeson, Jr, Audrey (Mike) Bath, Marcia (Tom) Boyd, Douglas (Marlene) Reeson, Daniel (Mareen) Reeson, Dean (Rae) Reeson; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Abigail Murphy, Theodore (Janice) Sawle, Jr, Reginald (Gayle) Sawle, Thomas "Tuck" (Betty) Sawle, Charlotte (Duaine) Westpfhal, Naiad (Pat) O'Dell, and Scott (Teri) Sawle. She was predeceased by her parents; an infant sister, Judith; 2 sisters-in-law, Jeanie Sawle and Carol Sawle; brother-in-law, Ron Murphy; and grandchildren, Dorothy "Dorie" Reeson and Daniel J (DJ) Reeson.

The family will receive friends and relatives at a celebration of life and luncheon from 1-4 pm, May 12th at The Barn at Blu Savanna Oaks, 4949 Mounds Park Rd, Blue Mounds, WI.

There will be a private graveside service preceding the celebration at Hyde Cemetery.

Her children wish to express their deep gratitude to Agrace HospiceCare in assisting us to help Mom fulfill her end-of-life wishes. Her work here on earth is done; she's with Dorie and DJ now.

Any memorials will be donated to the Hyde Cemetery and Agrace.
